Police are investigating after an attempted abduction in the Hamilton suburb of Hillcrest.
A man driving a white car, possibly a hatchback, grabbed the girl on McCracken Ave just after 4pm on Friday.
She was pulled into the car, but pushed out again when a family member came out of a house and onto the footpath.
Police would like to hear from anyone who was on McCracken Ave or in the wider Hillcrest area around the time of the accident, or who saw anything that could help the investigation.
