If you thought the earth moved in Marlborough on Friday night, it did.
A magnitude 4.1 earthquake shook through Seddon, south of Blenheim, just after 7:30pm.
The quake was 9km deep, centred 15km southeast of the town. More than 420 people reported feeling it on the Geonet website, some as far away as Porirua and Kaikoura.
Geonet says the shaking was "moderate" and may've been felt widely throughout the region.
