Seven injured after vehicle rolled on Auckland's Muriwai beach

Seven people have been injured after a vehicle rolled at a beach on Auckland's west coast.

It is believed that the vehicle driving on the beach was hit by a wave roughly 25km north of the Muriwai Beach surf club on Saturday afternoon.

Police told Newshub that a rescue helicopter has taken people to hospital, including one person in a serious condition.

NZME has reported that one patient is a child and was flown to Starship Hospital.
