Toyota New Zealand has issued a recall for 1169 vehicles over concerns they could stall as part of a global recall affecting 2.4 million cars.
The Japanese car giant said that in some cases, cars may enter a "failsafe" driving mode which could cause them to lose power and stall at high speeds.

The recall affects models of Prius and Prius V hybrids manufactured between January 23, 2009 and June 30, 2014.
There are 1003 Prius, and 166 Prius V hybrid in New Zealand which have been identified to have potential issues.
Owners of the vehicles, which are traceable through registration data, will be contacted by Toyota New Zealand through a remedy owner letter, a spokesperson told Newshub.
"This is a precautionary recall due to the possibility, that in the event of an internal component failure, the hybrid system could shut down instead of going to into fail safe mode. This could result in the vehicle losing power while driving, increasing the risk of an accident," the spokesperson said.
The remedy will be completed free of charge by Toyota stores and will take approximately 40 minutes to complete.
