A truck driver has been left seriously injured after his vehicle rolled before catching on fire in the Waioeka Gorge, near Opotiki.
The crash happened just before midnight on Friday night, on State Highway 2.
Police say the man has received serious injuries to his leg.
The road is expected to be closed for some time.
