Two people have died following a crash near Ashburton on Monday afternoon.
Two cars collided at around 1:40pm on State Highway 1, near Ealing Rd.
Police said the serious crash unit is attending and diversions are in place.
The fatal crash follows another just before 10pm on Sunday night in New Plymouth, in which another two people died.
