A crash between a ute and car is blocking two main highways in Waikato.
Emergency services were called to the intersection of State Highway 5 and 28 near Tirau just after 4pm on Monday.
One person was freed from a vehicle and has serious injuries, while another person is in a moderate condition.
Two helicopters are also at the scene.
