Auckland motorists are experiencing long delays after a crash on the Southern Motorway forced the road's closure on Saturday afternoon.
The accident happened at roughly 3:35pm and the New Zealand Transport Agency (NZTA) said it blocked the right southbound lane after the Ellerslie Panmure off-ramp, causing a backlog of traffic.

"Please avoid the area, or expect significant delays," said NZTA.
The accident led to the closing of the section of the motorway for a short amount of time while authorities recovered a vehicle. It was later reopened to one lane from 4pm.
A police spokesperson said no one had been injured in the crash, which involved multiple cars, reports NZME.
