State Highway 16 at Kumeu has reopened after a house fell off a transporter vehicle near Kumeu, blocking the road in both directions.
The accident happened near the Old North Road roundabout at around 5:50am on Tuesday morning. No one was injured.
A witness travelling just behind the house saw the incident occur.
Greg Martin told Newshub the transporter was going around a corner when the home began to fall off the back corner.
"You could see it going, it just slipped off the road," Mr Martin says.
"The house will be relatively significantly damaged. I don't know how they're going to remove it."
There were large queues early in the morning, however these have cleared.
"Police are no longer at the scene," a police spokesperson says.
"The commercial vehicle safety team attended the scene."
