A 35-year-old man has been charged with murder after the death of a man late on Tuesday night.
Detectives from Counties Manukau Police were called to Zelda Ave in the Auckland suburb of Otara, after reports of a firearm being discharged at 10pm Tuesday night.
When police arrived at the scene they found an injured man on the footpath who later died of his injuries. He is yet to be identified.
The man will appear in the Manukau District Court on Thursday. He was believed to be known to the victim and police are not seeking anyone else in relation to the incident.
