A teenager has been swept off rocks at a notorious spot near Raglan.
Police say the 17-year-old was with three others when he was swept off rocks at Papanui Point.
Police search and rescue, Coastguard, Surf Lifesaving and the Westpac Rescue Helicopter assisted with the search, which has now been suspended due to conditions.
The search is expected to resume tomorrow.
The teen's family has been advised and are being supported by police.
