Police are investigating a series of bomb threats received over email in New Zealand.
On Friday morning the Government cybersecurity agency, CERT NZ, said it had received reports of emails claiming explosive devices hidden in the recipients' offices would be detonated unless a ransom of bitcoin was paid.
Police said there had been three reported cases from this morning.

CERT said it is likely to be "an opportunistic scam".
But police said they are treating the emails as a "real threat" at this stage, and are "working to determine the validity".
Police say if anyone receives an email of this nature, they should call 111 immediately.
CERT advised people to not reply to any of the emails, nor pay any of the requested ransom, and keep the email as evidence for police.
