Auckland police say Christmas in the Park was a "resounding" success.
The annual event was held on Saturday night at its usual location, Auckland Domain. This year's entertainers included Stan Walker, Mike Puru, Jason Gunn, Jess Quinn and Lavina Williams.
"Tens of thousands of people had a wonderful summer evening full of festivities," said Snr Sgt Tony Miller.
There were only three alcohol-related arrests and two for breach of bail. The event is billed as alcohol-free.
"Police are very happy with crowd behaviour and the evening was a great opportunity to positively engage with young people and families," said Snr Sgt Miller.
"The fireworks were a particular highlight for young and old."
