Grace Millane: Police find shovel

Police said today they've found the shovel that forms part of the investigation into the murder of Grace Millane.

Detective inspector Scott Beard appealed to the public on Tuesday for sightings of a round-mouth shovel that had been connected to the murder.

He announced on Thursday the shovel had been found in a central west Auckland area.

Police recovered the body of Ms Millane on Sunday in the Waitakere Ranges after a week-long search.

A man was charged with her murder, and appeared in the Auckland District Court on Monday.
