New Zealand's role in achieving a nuclear weapon-free world

From Donald Trump's tweeted threats to his infamous meeting with Kim Jong-un, the world's nuclear powers have had us strapped to a rollercoaster this year.

Meanwhile, work has continued on the Prohibition of Nuclear Weapons Treaty, getting nations to sign up. 

At the current rate of uptake, there could be a ban on nuclear weapons as early as next year.

One of the minds who helped develop this treaty is Nobel Peace Prize winner Beatrice Fihn, Executive Director of the International Campaign to Abolish Nuclear Weapons. 

She spoke to Duncan Garner.
