Three tourists were allegedly attacked in an alleyway in Nelson on Saturday night.
Police said up to six men attacked them in an alleyway leading from Bridge St to Montgomery Park at 1:50am.
Personal items were taken and one of the men sustained a broken nose and fractured jaw.
Police have asked any witnesses to call Nelson Police on 03 546 3840.
