A woman has died after falling from the back of a motorbike in Tauranga.
Emergency services were called to the crash on Bethlehem Rd at about 5:50pm on Monday evening.
They say two motorbikes were riding through the town centre, one carrying a passenger. The passenger was a woman in her 30s, sitting on the back of the bike.
The woman fell off the back, police say, and died after suffering a head injury. The other riders have been taken to hospital with moderate injuries.
The woman's family are yet to be advised and the serious crash unit has now launched an investigation.
