Police have named the cyclist who was killed after a crash on West End Road in Ohope.
Police were called to the incident at the beach car park at 12.25pm on Saturday.
Local man, Max Kerrison was taken to hospital following the incident with serious injuries.
The 69-year-old died in hospital two days later
Police have extended their sympathies to Mr Kerrison's friends and family, and enquires into the crash are on-going.
