A fatal crash in Waitomo has killed two and injured three others.
Police are still at the scene of the crash, which occurred at around 8:10am on State Highway 4 at Te Mapara.
Two vehicles were involved in the crash. Two people from one vehicle were killed and three people from the other were airlifted to Waikato Hospital with serious injuries.
Diversions are in place between Pukerimu Road and Kopaki Road.
