A passenger riding on the back of a motorcycle has been hit by a falling rock, near Weld Pass in Marlborough.
The passenger escaped serious injury, police say, after it fell from a hill above the road on Friday.
It's believed they have suffered a broken leg.
The motorcycle rider in the front was uninjured.
