Police are searching for an armed man in Christchurch.
He came to the attention of police during a routine patrol on Brougham St at around 9:40 am on Thursday.
The man appeared to be armed however police are unsure what the weapon is.
Police are trying to locate the man in the Spreydon suburb and are following lines of enquiry.
