Bay of Plenty police are investigating the circumstances around the death of a 69-year-old man in Rotorua.
Early on Wednesday morning, the man was taken to Rotorua Hospital where he was pronounced dead on arrival, but an exact cause of death has yet to be determined.
Det Insp Mark Loper say as part of an investigation into the man's death, police examined an address on Reeve Rd, Owhata, on Wednesday night while further inquiries are underway on Thursday.
They want to hear from anyone who was in the area of Reeve Rd and Brent Rd on Wednesday morning who may have seen anything suspicious.
