The police dive squad will continue the search for a swimmer missing at Whangarei Falls on Saturday morning.
The man went missing late Friday afternoon, after being seen looking distressed in the water, NZME reported. He was last seen at the base of the waterfall.
The falls have been closed and a scene guard was in place overnight.
