Four people are injured after a tree fell on them at the Shotover Jet building in Queenstown.
Emergency Services were alerted to the incident at 1pm.
A St John spokesperson confirmed four people have been injured - two critically.
The two critically injured patients have been flown to Dunedin Hospital. The other patients are being treated locally at Lakes District Hospital.
Newshub cameraman Jeff Aldridge says it's believed a couple of families were having coffee under one of the trees when it collapsed.
He said the large poplar tree was "totally uprooted".
Children are believed to be among the injured.
A spokesperson for Shotover Jet said the injured were not customers.
Three rescue helicopters were sent to the scene and firefighters helped to extricate the patients from under the tree.
