Two British men have been arrested over roofing scams in the Auckland region.
The men, aged 27 and 30, were arrested on Thursday night. Both will face fraud charges.
One man was arrested near Marton, in the Rangitikei district, the other was picked up in Whanganui later on that night.
They will appear in the Whanganui District Court on Thursday.
Enquiries into the incidents are ongoing and police cannot rule out further arrests.
Detective Senior Sergeant Bridget Doell said in a statement the public need to be cautious about suspicious approaches offering home maintenance work.
"We encourage everyone to immediately report any suspicious behaviour to Police by calling 111," he said.
