Two of the three men arrested overnight in relation to roofing scams appeared in the Hutt Valley District Court this afternoon.

Police say one 25-year-old and two 26-year-olds were arrested at a Lower Hutt address at 3:45am on Tuesday.

Twenty-six year old Tommy Ward and 25 year-old William Donohue have been charged with using a false document as if it were genuine.

Police said the documents were a forged business card and invoice.

The three arrested men were believed to be affiliated with a group of rowdy tourists who became infamous after an altercation at Takapuna beach in late 2018.

Police said they were looking for James Nolan, 26, Tommy Ward, 26, and William Donohue, 25, on February 8.

It is unknown when Nolan will be appearing in court, the other two are due to reappear on Thursday.
