Tasman fire: The raging inferno in pictures

The fire that broke out south of Nelson on Tuesday is still raging, but authorities say it's relatively contained.

Tasman Mayor Richard Kempthorne said on Thursday evacuations are still in place and will stay in place for several days.

Images from the scene depict a scorched landscape blanketed in heavy smoke, as firefighters worked through the night to contain the inferno.
