A truck crash caused chaos on the Waikato Expressway after it hit a barrier and then an overbridge near Rangiriri.
The incident happened at around 3:15am on Thursday and left debris all over the road and the truck unable to be moved.
A crane is on the way to assist with removing the truck.
One lane of the Expressway is open headed each direction, but it will be closed completely when the crane arrives to remove the truck.
Traffic in the area is moving very slowly and police are asking motorists to avoid it if at all possible.
