Police are investigating the death of a 14-year-old girl in Whanganui.
Officers responded to a call from a person saying they had harmed a family member at around 8:20pm on Friday night.
The body of the victim was located on Niblett St.
A 59-year-old woman is in custody and police are not looking for anyone else in response to the incident.
