A 25-year-old man has died in a workplace incident in Wellington.
Emergency services were called to the scene in Ngauranga Gorge around 9:28pm on Monday.
One person died at the scene and another received moderate injuries.
Police say early indications are that the person who died was hit by a work vehicle while working on State Highway 1 south of Johnsonville.
Worksafe NZ has been notified and the road is open.
