A 75-year-old man has been charged with murder following the death of a 70-year-old woman in Raumati Beach.
He will be appearing in Porirua District Court on Wednesday morning.
Police are not seeking anyone else in relation to the woman's death.

A spokesperson for the Coastal Villas Retirement Home in Raumati Beach on the Kapiti Coast confirmed a "serious incident" had taken place at the home at 9:40am.
They told Newshub police were in attendance all day.
Residents at the retirement village can expect a police presence in Westgate Dr until Friday, as a scene examination is underway.
