Police are attending a serious quad bike crash in Otago involving eight people.
The crash was reported to police at 4:25pm on Saturday in a rural area east of Ranfurly.
Eight people are believed to have been involved, but police had not yet confirmed the number injured.
Dunedin Land Search and Rescue have been deployed by helicopter to extract all people involved.
A rescue helicopter has also been dispatched.
