Man rushed to hospital after 'incident' next to New Lynn train station in Auckland

A man is being rushed to hospital after an incident next to an Auckland train station.

Police are in attendance at a park opposite the New Lynn Transport Centre, on the Western Line of Auckland's rail network.

The incident was reported to police at 12:20pm, and authorities are currently at the scene. It isn't believed to be racially motivated.

The injured man "sustained moderate injuries" in the incident, police said in a statement. He has since been taken to Waitakere Hospital.

Police are currently making enquiries.
