Two men have been charged after armed police raided rural Hokitika properties.
Police said they found "a firearm, along with a cut-down air rifle and a quantity of cannabis plants". A stolen vehicle was found a short distance away.
A 48-year-old man was arrested and will face court on charges relating to firearms, drug offences and breaching a protection order.
A second search warrant carried out at another rural Hokitika address uncovered more guns and cannabis.
A 35-year-old man was charged and will face court on Monday.
