An accident in Ashburton has killed more than 150 sheep after one of two trailers attached to the back of a truck flipped.
The truck was travelling down Moorhouse Road in Ruapuna at 10:45am when the incident took place.

All sheep from the first trailer are alive and being moved into a nearby paddock.
A police spokesperson told Newshub more sheep are being euthanised due to injury when the second trailer, holding around 300 sheep, went over.
Police are asking motorists to avoid the area as it will take a heavy haulage crane to put the vehicle upright.
Diversions are in currently in place.
The driver of the truck was assessed at the scene with minor injuries.
