A man has been arrested and charged after another man was shot in Feilding in the early hours of Sunday morning.
The victim reported being shot at 1:25am. He received serious but non-life-threatening injuries, and is still in hospital as of Sunday afternoon.
At about midday, police and members of the Armed Offenders Squad arrested a 27-year-old man in Roslyn, northern Palmerston North, in relation to the shooting.
He has been charged with wounding with intent and will appear in Palmerston North District Court on Tuesday, April 9.
Police are not seeking anyone else in relation to the incident.
