Bikers team up with Paw Justice to ride for animals

Aucklanders witnessed a strange sight on Sunday: a lot of dogs and a lot of motorbikes.

Bikers have teamed up with Paw Justice to help raise awareness of animal abuse and welfare issues in New Zealand.

On Sunday, hundreds of motorcyclists joined together for the 3rd annual Ride for Justice, led by retired Kiwi boxer Shane Cameron and a host of New Zealand celebrity riders.

"By joining the ride, you are giving to our furry friends a voice, and helping us raise much-needed funds to support the Paw Justice Foodbank and our rehoming and adoption arm, PetRescue so that animals can have a second chance at life," Paw Justice says.

The ride kicked off at Smales Farm Business Park in Takapuna and finished at Parakai Springs, to be followed by an afternoon of entertainment.

Newshub went along to check it out - and discovered some incredible custom bikes, along with some very friendly dogs.
