Four people have died in three separate crashes on Friday morning.
Emergency services were called around 12:20am after a truck and car collided at the intersection of Yaldhurst Rd and Russley Rd in Christchurch.

Two people died at the scene, including a 12-year-old child.
The car's other three passengers were seriously injured. Two of the injured are children, the third is an adult.
The serious crash unit is investigating.
A second fatal crash occurred in the North Island's Waipa District around 7am on Friday morning, where a car hit a motorcyclist in Rotoorangi.
One person died at the scene. There are no other reported injuries.
A fourth person died in Nelson around 10am. The cyclist was fatally injured in a crash with a car. Police are at the scene and the road is expected to be closed for some time.
Twenty-six people have died on the roads in the last week. Monday saw nine people killed in a single day, one of New Zealand's deadliest.
It brings the year-to-date road toll to 106.
Another crash in Christchurch saw a pedestrian in his 70s hit by a car, he received leg injuries but was not killed.
Police were called to attend the incident at the Shirley Rd and Marshland Rd intersection just before 7am.
