A crash on State Highway 1 is causing severe traffic delays for Aucklanders returning home from the school holidays.
The crash has closed part of SH 1 between Khyber Pass on ramp and Gillies Ave on ramp and is affecting northbound traffic, NZTA reports.
The incident happened at 5.40pm and initially only blocked two lanes.
NZTA said to expect significant delays and consider using SH20 from Manukau for motorists heading north.
