Police have launched a homicide investigation after a death in south Auckland on Saturday night.
The incident happened at 10:20pm on Saturday on Darnell Cres in Clover Park.
Police say they believe the deceased was shot.
"We are trying to establish the circumstances of what happened and why," said Det Insp Tofilau Faa Vaaelua.
Police are guarding the scene while a scene examination is conducted.
"We are appealing to anyone who knows anything about the incident to contact the Counties Manukau police on (09) 261 1321 or anonymously on 0800 Crimestoppers 0800 555 111," said Vaaelua.
