A manhunt is underway for a man that entered a cafe in the town of Karapiro, near Cambridge, and shot a worker.
The incident happened just after 9am on Thursday on Tirau Rd at Karapiro Cafe and Gifts. A Caucasian male aged in his 50s or 60s entered the shop and shot a man working there, police say.
The victim received moderate injuries and was taken to hospital.
Police say the offender left the scene in a white or light coloured older model vehicle, driven by a female.
