An investigation is underway after fire tore through an Auckland classroom.
Fire crews were called to Pakuranga Heights School just before 11pm on Sunday.
Senior fire officer Bob Morrison says the classroom was well alight when his team arrived.
"The fire had been established for a while and was starting to spread through and impinge on the [neighbouring] classroom."
The fire is being treated as suspicious.
