Two people have been freed after being trapped in a car which plunged down a bank near Taupo.
Police were called to the scene on Pohokura Rd just before 9am on Friday.
While one person was quickly freed from the car, two others remained inside the vehicle for a period of time.
But police confirmed at midday they were now free and taken for a medical assessment.
The road is open to traffic.
