A fatal collision between a car and a cyclist in Auckland is being investigated by the Auckland police crime squad after the driver fled the scene.
Emergency services were called to Queen St in the CBD at 2:30am on Sunday. A silver Honda Logo had crashed into a cyclist opposite Myers Park.
The cyclist, believed to be a man in his 50s, was transported to Auckland Hospital but later died of his injuries.
His identity is yet to be confirmed.
The driver fled. Police say they have arrested a man, who allegedly failed a breath-test.
