Someone let off a gun in Dunedin on Friday afternoon, and police want to know what was going on.
The firearm was "discharged from a car" on Great King St in the city's north, police said, about 3:25pm.
Anyone with information, or that saw something suspicious, should call police on (03) 471 4800, or Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.
Nobody was reported hurt in the incident.
