The NZTA is warning motorists to be prepared ahead of mass Auckland motorway closures starting on Sunday night.
Multiple highways will be affected across the region over the next week - including SH1, SH16, SH18, and SH20 - to allow for motorway improvements.

"There is a wide range of overnight roadwork closures planned on the Auckland Motorway network for the upcoming week (5-11 May) including lane closures on SH18 between Tauhinu Road and Greenhithe between 5-7 May," the NZTA warns.
"Closures start at 9pm and finish at 5am, unless otherwise stated."
The NZTA says overnight motorway closures are subject to weather and other factors, and may be cancelled or postponed at late notice.
"Work delayed by bad weather will be completed at the next available date, prior to Friday 10 May 2019," it says.
The list of current planned overnight closures are available here on its website.
