Massive fire engulfs Queenstown car dealership

A Queenstown car dealership was engulfed in fire after a massive blaze broke out on Monday morning.

Emergency services rushed to Macaulay Motors, at Five Mile, after a fire broke out in the workshop area.

One person was reported injured in the fire, and an ambulance was called to assist.

The main building was consumed by flames, sending large clouds of toxic smoke into the air.

Not long after, in Dunedin, a fire broke out on the third floor a building next door to Rialto Cinemas, with one man being rescued from above. Three others were treated for smoke inhalation.

Both fires are being investigated.
