The NZTA is urging motorists to "plan ahead" for motorway closures across Auckland next week.
Multiple highways will be affected from Sunday night, including SH1, SH16, SH18, and SH20.

"There is a wide range of overnight roadwork closures planned on the Auckland Motorway network for the upcoming week (12-18 May) including closures to the Northbound Waterview Tunnel on Tue and Thu nights, and the Southbound Waterview Tunnel on Wed night," the NZTA says.
"Closures start at 9pm and finish at 5am, unless otherwise stated."
The NZTA says these closures allow for routine maintenance to keep the motorways operating safely and efficiently, and are planned for night-time to affect the least amount of people.
The closures are subject to weather and other factors, and may be cancelled or postponed at late notice.
"Work delayed by bad weather will be completed at the next available date, prior to Friday, 17th May 2019," the NZTA says.
