The parents of a Wisconsin girl with special needs say she was bitten on a school bus taking her home - and the driver did nothing to stop it.

Lynn Waldron-Moehle says her daughter was bitten by another girl while riding the bus on Monday.

She told ABC her daughter Lillian was inconsolably crying while clutching her arm when she got home after school.

Waldron-Moehle says she wanted to calm her 10-year-old down with a bath.

"She loves baths, and that's soothing to her. So I brought her home and I was getting her ready for the bath. I took her sweatshirt off, and that's when I noticed the major bruising on her upper arm."

She says the school principal was able to watch video from the bus which showed Lillian being bitten by a girl next to her.

"He said it was gruesome and horrifying to look at. That the girl was brutally biting my daughters' arm," said Waldron-Moehle.

A representative from the bus company said bus drivers are permitted to step in during altercations - according to Lillian's parents, this didn't happen, reports ABC.

"The seat was right behind the bus driver and he couldn't hear or see anything going on? Come on,"

"She can't tell them to stop. She couldn't get away. She's in a five-point harness car seat. She just had to sit there and take it and the bus driver wasn't stopping."

The Waldron's say the girl who allegedly bit Lillian is no longer attending the school, but that they won't put their daughter back on the bus.

From Thursday, they say Lillian will ride to and from school in a van, with two adult chaperones.

The school district says it is continuing to investigate the incident.
