Arrest after woman stabbed, two hit by car in Mangere, south Auckland

A man has been charged with attempted murder after one woman was stabbed and two people were hit by a car in Mangere.

A homicide investigation has been opened into the incident, which happened at paper company Oji Fibre Solutions on Mahunga Dr on Thursday afternoon.

It's understood a woman was stabbed by a man at the address, and subsequently, another woman and a man were hit by a car.

The 32-year-old woman hit by the car died at the scene. Police are still contacting her next of kin.

The woman stabbed in the initial incident and the man hit by the car have been discharged from hospital.

Police cannot rule out further charges being laid. A scene examination is underway and a post-mortem will take place later on Friday.

The 46-year-old man will appear in Manukau District Court on Friday.
